Risk Disclosure

Last updated: 22 July 2026 · Version 1.2

This disclosure summarises the principal risks of using the Uriel service. It is not exhaustive. You should read it in full, together with our Terms of Service, and seek independent advice before committing any capital. This forms part of our Terms.

1. Substantial risk of loss

Cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency derivatives are highly volatile and carry a substantial risk of loss, including the total loss of your capital. You should not commit funds you cannot afford to lose entirely.

2. Leverage and liquidation

The strategy trades perpetual futures, which are leveraged instruments. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses, and a sufficiently adverse move can trigger liquidation of a position — a forced closure that can crystallise losses rapidly. Even with leverage capped at a low multiple, a drawdown of 30% or more of capital remains possible.

3. Market risk

The price of Bitcoin and Ethereum can move sharply and unpredictably in very short windows, including gaps outside normal patterns, driven by macro events, liquidity shocks, and sentiment.

4. Discretionary management and strategy risk

Trading decisions on your account are made by Uriel (its strategists and, in future, its automated systems), in accordance with the strategy you select — you do not direct individual trades. The strategy may be wrong, may underperform, may be unsuitable for prevailing conditions, and depends on the skill and continuity of the people and systems behind it (key-person and model risk).

5. Automated and AI decision risk

Some or all trading decisions may be generated by automated or AI systems operating under human oversight. Such systems can contain errors, behave unexpectedly in abnormal or unprecedented conditions, be affected by data quality, latency, or connectivity issues, and act faster than a human can intervene.

6. Copy / execution risk

Your account mirrors a selected strategy. Replication is not instantaneous or identical: differences in timing, price, available balance, slippage, partial fills, funding, or exchange conditions mean your results can differ from the strategy's own results or from those of other clients.

7. Counterparty and custody risk

Your funds are held in your own account at a third-party exchange (a centralized venue). The failure, insolvency, hack, freeze, or misconduct of that exchange could result in the partial or total loss of your funds. Uriel does not take custody of your funds and is not responsible for the exchange's acts, omissions, security, or solvency.

8. Operational and technology risk

Software bugs, infrastructure or exchange outages, connectivity failures, cyber-attacks, or human error may cause missed trades, unintended trades, or losses. We maintain protective controls (including reconciliation, exposure limits, and a “freeze” mechanism), but no system is fault-free and these controls cannot eliminate risk.

9. Funding, fees and cost risk

Perpetual futures incur funding payments that can be positive or negative over time, and trading incurs exchange fees. Performance fees apply to realised profits. These costs affect your net result.

10. Liquidity risk

In stressed markets, liquidity can fall sharply, widening spreads and increasing slippage, which can make it difficult to enter or exit positions at expected prices.

11. Regulatory, legal and tax risk

The legal and regulatory treatment of crypto assets and related services is evolving and varies by country. Changes in law, regulation, or exchange availability could restrict or disrupt the Service. You are responsible for the tax treatment of your activity in your jurisdiction; Uriel does not provide tax advice.

12. No guarantee

Past performance is not indicative of future results. Figures shown on this site are historical and may be simulated, hypothetical, or unaudited; they are not a promise or projection of future performance. We do not guarantee any level of return, profit, or the availability of the Service.

13. Suitability and assumption of risk

The Service is offered only to qualified or professional investors. By using it, you confirm that you understand these risks, that the Service is suitable for your circumstances, and that you make the decision to participate — and to keep participating — entirely at your own risk and on your own judgement.
